It’s official: “Downtown Disney” is now “Disney Springs“!
Here’s a look at what is new in dining and shopping at this entertainment district at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida:
The BOATHOUSE
The menu at this waterfront dining establishment features fresh seafood and premium steaks. After dining, take a ride in an Amphicar! These vintage vehicles will take you on a 20-minute water tour of Disney Springs!
Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar
This fun establishment is a nod to the “Indiana Jones” films in which Jock Lindsey was Indy’s pilot and sidekick. You’ll find these nods not only in the decor — which features spare airplane parts and antique maps tacked to the walls — but also in the menu! You’ll find Dr. Elsa’s She-Deviled Eggs, Rolling Boulder Sliders, and Brody Brats on the menu, along with specialty cocktails such as Reggie’s Revenge and The Fountain of Youth.
Morimoto Asia
The newest dining addition to Disney Springs is Morimoto Asia! As its name suggests, the restaurant features Chef Masaharu Morimoto’s “pan-Asian” cuisine: Pad Thai, Kung Pao chicken, and Peking duck, to name a few!
Other new shops you’ll find include:
- The Art of Shaving
- Havaianas
- Sanuk
- Apex by Sunglass Hut
- Chapel Hats
The final transformation to the new Disney Springs won’t be until 2016 … so stay tuned for more news and updates!
