Disney’s Wilderness Lodge recently refurbished their main pool, Silver Springs Pool. The pool and slide didn’t change, but they did revamp the children’s pool area and added a fence around the entire area.
The children’s pool was removed completely and a new Splash Pad put in. There is a hot tub built into another rock formation as well as the Trout Pass Pool Bar rounding out the lakefront area. The pool slide is built into the rock formations and landscaping of the resort, complete with a bubbling spring, which begins in the hotel’s lobby, and waterfalls. The pool area also offers a lovely view of Fire Rock Geyser, which erupts every hour, on the hour.
These Splash Pads are a big hit with the little kids and lots of fun. Although there is a 48 inch height limit, there were kids playing on it that were little over that height at times. Sprayers, buckets of water dumping out, slides…it’s hard to resist bucket loads of fun!
