Picture yourself here – enjoying a leisurely float on the lazy river at Cabana Bay Beach Resort at Universal Orlando. Or maybe zipping down a waterslide is more your style – you can do that too, since there are two pools at this resort which is themed to take you (or your parents or grandparents) down memory lane.
Speaking of lanes, if bowling is more your style, how about a round or two at the on-site Galaxy Bowl? Lanes can be rented – my family had a late morning flight home, and this was a great way to pass the time on departure day.
There are multiple dining options, including Galaxy Bowl, a poolside bar and grill, Swizzle Lounge which is open in the evenings, and the family-friendly food court, Bayliner Diner. Many options to eat in or take out. I was happy with healthy options like a salad bar; my kids loved the frozen yogurt bar with choose-your-own toppings!
You may be wondering about the rooms. Believe me, they are spacious and comfortable. Rooms at this value-priced resort feature Queen Beds!
Standard rooms sleep up to four, but there are options for larger travel groups or for folks who want to spread out. We chose a Family Suite which sleeps up to 6; we have a family of four and let me tell you, everyone sleeps better when my kids get their own beds thanks to a sofabed in the living room!
An added benefit to the Family Suite is the kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker.
Cabana Bay Beach resort offers shuttles to Universal’s CityWalk – a 5 minute ride – a walking path that takes you past other Universal resorts, and my favorite – a walking path to Volcano Bay Waterpark via a back entrance!
Guests of this resort also can take advantage of Early Park Admission.
