A Celebration of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando
A Celebration of Harry Potter has become an annual event at Universal Orlando Resort. The magical 3-day event offers exclusive opportunities for fans to interact with celebrities and creators of the shows and experience behind-the-scenes magic. One of our agents shares her experiences.
Well, what could one say except … it is out of this world. My family enjoyed this once-in-a-lifetime trip a few years back. My daughter is a huge Harry Potter fan. There are experiences that only happen during this event. Live Q&A’s, a real red carpet for the stars to walk down, meet and greets and so many photo opportunities that wouldn’t take place ever again.
Guests get new surprises each year. The year we went the gift bags included special Harry Potter pins for your lanyard and a boxed DVD set of all the Harry Potter movies.
The event offers several panels with stars of the shows and creators behind the series and Wizarding World of Harry Potter. This Q & A is super cool! You may sit in on more than one panel and every Q & A had a different set. Ask questions about the movies, how the sets look and what the stars experienced on the show. Their answers offer some great insight into what took place behind the “curtain.”
In 2018 some new Harry Potter Stars are to be in attendance — including Jenny Weasley. She’s a huge star. I can only imagine what she might share and the up-close photo opportunities that will be available!
The parks will also be decorated to fit the theme of this experience. If you are lucky enough, you may even get to share rides with stars from Harry Potter!
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is crawling with actors from the movies and they engage with guests. You will get an itinerary that will let you know times and dates of the events to take place so make sure you don’t miss out. Ask an universal studios employee for a pamphlet if you do not get one on arrival. Highlight your most important to-do items and enjoy the park while you wait for events to take place.
Years later my daughter still talks about how she saw Ron Weasly up close on The Today Show. While her friends were at home watching him on tv, we were less than 3 feet from him! 
The experience of hanging out with other Harry Potter fans, dressing up like the movie characters, and meeting real movie stars will be memories she will never forget.

- Arrive early in the morning so you can set up your day.
